Papi and Uncle Buck made a fun sledding hill in the backyard and the kids had a great time playing on Christmas Day….

Christmas Day!

 

Santa came to Grandma and Papi’s house and the girls had a great time opening all their presents.

Christmas Eve

 

I love Christmas eve and the meaning of the night.   Since becoming a Mom I think alot about the night Jesus was born,  what it must have been like for a young, scared, first time Mom to deliver in a stable.   What was her labor like?   I like to hope that being she carried the savior God gave her an easier delivery.   Was he a happy baby?   A few questions I will get answered someday. 

We started the festivities at Church in the afternoon where Emma’s Sunday school class gave a performance and Emma did a great job saying her bible verse and then singing Away in a Manger,  O Come All Ye Faithful, and Joy to the World with the class.  I was a very proud Mom.   Afterwards it was off to see family.  We spend Christmas eve with Mike’s side and the girls loved going to Kaitlyn and Kyle’s house to play.

Gingerbread House

 

Each year we like to do a Gingerbread house with the kids,  now that they are getting older it’s even more fun.   Here is the creation for 2010.

 

I love that Norah went in for a taste of frosting just as I went to take the photo.   : )

A Busy Day..

 

We celebrated both Thanksgiving and Christmas with my Mom’s side of the family early in December.   While I neglected to get any photos at the family gathering here is Emma fast asleep holding Norah’s had in the car.

Big Girl Beds

 

Well the crib has been taken down and Norah is now in a bed.   Papi finished Emma’s new bed so the switch happened right after Daddy got home from his 2 week work trip to China.   The girls love the new beds.   Thanks to Papi for his great craftsmanship!

 

 

Gymnastics and Swimming

 

The girls have been enjoying their community Ed activities.   Emma tried gymnastics again and LOVED it while Norah had her first swimming lessons.   These evenings were the highlights of their weeks.

First Snow 2010

 

We had our first good snow today and the girls were very excited to get outside and make a snowman.    True Minnesotans! 

Happy Halloween

 

The girls had a great Halloween as Cinderella and a Ladybug.   We were able to share the evening with cousins Kaitlyn and Kyle and the girls sure did get a good dose of sugar.

Auntie Ann got a new puppy and she brought him over for the girls to meet.   He is so much fun!

I think they did a good job making him tired! 

Apple Jack’s Orchard

 

Another great fall Saturday in MN calls for a trip to the Orchard.  The girls always have fun here and Grandma even got to join us this year!
