Jay Cooke State Park

We have some great church friends who do an annual camping trip to Jay Cooke each year and we decided to take the older two girls this year.  Olivia got to have a weekend with Grandma and Papi.   It was such an incredible weekend and we made reservations for 2013 the day we got back!  IMG_4832

We were there a week before the big floods happened around Duluth and this is the amazing swinging bridge that was destroyed by the raging river.   When we were there they said that the water was already over 8’ higher than normal.  Sadly with the next storm this bridge didn’t stand a chance. Mom likes it when the kids can make their own dinner! : )
