Emma had been looking forward to going to school all summer and finally the day arrived. I was so happy to see her excitement for the next stage of her life but I have to admit it was hard to see her this grown up.

We had amazing weather on our trip and spent one day hiking at Gooseberry Falls. If you ask Emma what her new favorite thing to do is it would be hiking. I love her excitement for nature.
We also had a chance to canoe on a river that was close to the lodge we stayed at. Another great memory from this trip.
We had a great trip with my parents to Lutsen this summer. We discovered that Emma loves to go hiking and Norah will never pass up a chance for a campfire and S’mores!
Breakfast at Worlds Best Doughnuts in Grand Marais.
Fog on Lake Superior that morning was so cool.
Collecting rocks to throw into the lake was “SO FUN” according to Emma.
While I was working I felt so lucky to have a great lady watch Emma and Norah. While I was so happy to be home now it was with mixed emotions we said goodbye. I couldn’t even bring myself to go get them their last day, I guess it is kind of fitting that Mike did the first drop-off and last pick-up. Daycare providers truly are saints and we had one of the best. So as a thank you gift we had this made for her.
The girls will still talk about Ruthie’s and I loved how this design had 2 little girls on it for Em and Norah. Thank you Ruth for being such a wonderful person and loving my girls.
