Alexandra’s 3rd Birthday

 

We were able to spend Saturday celebrating Alexandra’s 3rd birthday.   This little girl was so very lucky and got 2 ponies to ride on her birthday.    The look on her face when they came into the backyard was priceless….

All the kids had a blast riding George and Montana.

Norah also found swinging and running in the backyard very enjoyable…

I think that Emma rode the horses over a dozen times.   The owner was so impresses that he let Emma take the reins and she was riding all on her own.   I was so very proud of her and she LOVED it.

Then it was time for cupcakes….

Happy Birthday Alexandra.  We love you! 

I want to be like you Mom

 

Emma wanted her hair in a towel after bath time so she could be just like Mom.     

State Fair

 

We went to the state fair on Friday and even though it was the coolest day ever at the fair we had a BLAST!    The girls loved the rides, animals and cheese curds!  

This driving is a serious thing…Happy Emma!

Rick got his Big Fat Bacon.  We will hear about it again for the next 364 days.

Sunday in Duluth

 

We decided to take the girls to Canal Park in Duluth on Sunday before heading home.   I am really glad that we did,  they had so much fun.

    

Amazing weekend but busy… Emma may kill me down the road for this one but it sums up how we all felt come Sunday night.

Giants Ridge Weekend

 

I was able to find a great deal online for a weekend up at Giants Ridge in Biwabak, MN and we invited my parents along for a road trip.  Luckily,  Momma got herself a minivan last weekend so we could all ride in the same car! : )   

They are great travelers (oh and the DVD player in the van helps too)

 

I love when I can get them both to smile for a photo.   

They liked playing in the sand at the beach. 

When you ask Emma what her favorite part was she will tell you with great pride that it was swimming!   She got pretty confident this weekend and was swimming all by herself!

Norah also mastered floating on her back!

Sunday came and we had to leave… Instead of helping me pack Emma decided to put on my shirt, flip flops….

and have a drink of my coffee….

I love this girl so much.

 

It was an amazing weekend and we are looking to going back again.   Mike and Dad couldn’t say enough about the golf too!
