Close to the resort is a fantastic petting zoo for the kids. It is a highlight of our weekend for the last couple of years.

What a great weekend. We have a tradition on my side of getting together for a family reunion on Memorial Day weekend and rent out almost the entire resort. I was saying to Mike on the way home that it is amazing that there was family there from 3 weeks old to Grandparents in their 80’s! We had a great time.

This weekend Daddy went fishing so it was just the girls for the weekend and we sure did have fun! We started by spending Friday evening at Grandma and Papi’s house.

Then on Saturday we got to babysit Reinhold for awhile. He got there when the girls were napping so they were very excited when they woke up and I had this adorable little guy in my arms!
They both wanted to hold him all afternoon! Norah had lots of hugs and kisses for him too.
Grandma Jan added more fun to our girls weekend when she had a sleepover on Saturday night…. too bad Emma decided to get a small case of pink eye. We had to miss church but went to park later that day instead!
Then it was time to go home and do some planting and enjoy the awesome Sunday afternoon….

We also have some goslings in our pond… they decided to come up and poop on the lawn take a nap. : )
We had a fun weekend but Mom is VERY glad that Daddy is back home.
I often will look at the girls and just be overwhelmed with gratitude that I am their Mom. All I ever wanted was this and now I have it! God has blessed me so very much.
What a great Mother’s Day! The best part was that Mike was home this year! Typically he is gone for opening fishing but this year they didn’t fall on the same weekend. We had a great time. Saturday we had a laid back morning, Emma played dress up (she even got Maggie involved, not sure what the medal was for!) and Norah decided to show off her silly faces.
Then we went to the Family Spring Fling in Maple Grove and the girls had a blast.
They loved seeing all the animals and feeding the goats.
On Sunday I was able to sleep in and was given the best wake up call by the girls with handmade cards and a gift certificate to my favorite salon! It was a great lazy morning (yep, we skipped church this one weekend)
I just love these girls to pieces!
